About the company

Almady Laboratories was established in 1982 by George Schwulst. A pharmacist, now retired, George developed a number of products for the pharmaceutical market. He established Geo Schwulst Laboratories, a subsidiary of Almady and for a number of years Geo Schwulst Labs was one of the top generic pharmaceutical companies in South Africa. In the late 1990’s Geo Schwulst Labs was sold and George retired.

In 2009, George decided to formulate a new range of products, aimed at the alternative/cosmetic industry. Thus in mid 2009, Almady Labs launched the first of three new preparations aimed at the alternative/cosmetic industry.

About the products

The company has three products available currently. Each product was formulated by George using his unique pharmaceutical knowledge and we believe that each product has the capacity to become a market leader in its field and intend to pursue that fact to the fullest extent. The three products include Loobit, Siloxit Gel and Siloxit Liquid. A fourth product will be launched later this year called Coolit.
